Victoria's best country athletes have been named to compete in the Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) and Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC). Athletes have also been selected to participate in Basketball Victoria's State Development Program (SDP), after showing their talent from recent tryouts.
The SCC and ACJBC representatives will earn insight into elite development and higher-level gameplay across the two elite junior tournaments held in January.
Southern Cross Challenge (SCC)
The 2024 Southern Cross Challenge will be held at the State Basketball Centre, Knox Basketball Stadium and Fairhills High School from 20-23 January 2024.
The Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) is the beginning of the high-performance pathway for identified athletes, coaches and officials. A Basketball Victoria initiative, the tournament is positioned to aid the development of those identified, providing an opportunity to take part in an elite tournament setting against other competing states.
Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC)
The 2024 Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup will be held at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre, Albury, NSW, from 16-21 January 2024.
