Evolving Our Relationships With Fear, Failure & Success
Everyone's experiences in life are different but there are some common characteristics for high performing individuals. In this session our keynote will explore how to create high performing relationships with fear, failure, success. Not always a straight line to achieve excellence, they will share some practical concepts and models that any leader can apply.

Hear about the importance of gender equity in sport and celebrate the programs and pathways available for women and girls. Hear from experts in advancing gender equity through sport and learn how Basketball Victoria’s initiatives are creating more opportunities, participation, and leadership for women and girls across the game.

Engaged staff and volunteers create stronger, more connected communities. This session will explore how effective recruitment, retention, and recognition not only support the people giving their time but also enhance the experience for all participants the wider community of our sport.
Autism Awareness
A session tailored for clubs and coaches. This education session includes an introduction to Autism and other hidden disabilities, as well as practical tools and resources for running an autism-friendly Basketball program. This training is designed and delivered by Autistic presenters who share their personal insights and professional expertise.
Australian Basketball In The Digital Age
How digital platforms are driving the growth of leagues, competitions, and programs and what you can do to connect with players and the wider community.
AI in Community Sport
AI isn’t magic - it’s management. In this session, we will unpack how AI is reshaping sport’s governance, operations, and participation roles faster than anyone expects. You’ll see how common admin tasks - like reports, grant applications, or meetings - can be reduced from weeks to minutes, and why the real shift is less about technology and more about leadership mindset. Attendees will leave with practical ways to begin using AI to run their basketball association simpler, smarter, and with greater impact.
Child Safety
Understand why child safety must come first, discover the benefits of getting it right, and gain practical tools to help you communicate the importance of safe sport to your community
Secure The Game: Data Protection In Community Sport
This session covers the importance of data security, what constitutes a breach, steps to take if a breach occurs, and practical strategies to safeguard your programs.
State Basketball Centre Tour
Experience a behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s premier basketball facility. Featuring 18 courts, including a show court with 3,100 retractable seats, the centre is also home to a high-performance gym, hot and cold recovery pools, and a dedicated media room for elite teams. This guided tour will showcase how the venue supports grassroots participation through to high-performance basketball.
Wheelchair Basketball Activation
This interactive session introduces attendees to the exciting world of wheelchair basketball. Learn about the programs available to associations, understand how the game differs from able-bodied basketball, and take part in a short on-court experience to see the sport in action.
