3XCup and the 3XTour form Basketball Victoria’s 3x3 pathway for associations and schools. All basketball Victoria (BV) events are run on the FIBA3x3 event system and every event on the FIBA system accrues FIBA3x3 ranking points. 3x3 is growing in Australia and by having Victoria players participating in these vents now and accruing points, it puts them in the best possible position when these chances do arise.
3XTour
YOUR TEAM. YOUR WAY. 3XTOUR 2026
The 3XTour is back for junior in 2026 and Basketball Victoria continues to tear down the barriers to 3x3! Importantly, the Junior 3XTour is now built to closely align with FIBA’s own elite level circuit – the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.
Forget the restrictions—this is 3x3 in its purest form. Whether you want to play with your school mates, your association teammates, or just a group of friends from across the state, the choice is yours. Pick your squad, enter your team and get your uniforms sorted – the 3XTour is for those interested in pursuing the 3x3 pathway.
3XCup
3XCup from a club perspective starts at the association level. We are encouraging association to run their own event in the format that best suits them; whether it is indoor, outdoor, as a league or a one / multi day tournament (just as many have done already), but now there is something more to play for – progression! Teams will be able to qualify from their local event representing their domestic club or association wearing their club colours into Basketball Victoria’s ‘State Qualifying’ tournaments in the July holidays. There’ll be State Qualifiers around Victoria, of which teams will be able to attend the one or all, and from each event, teams will qualify for the Victoria 3XCup State Championships held in the September holidays and compete for the title of Victoria’s ‘State Champions!’
3XCup Association Pathway
3XCup is Basketball Victoria’s official 3x3 pathway, delivered through the FIBA 3x3 event system, with all games contributing to a player’s FIBA 3x3 ranking points. As the 3x3 pathway continues to grow across Victoria, Australia and beyond, consistent participation helps place players in the best position for future State and National opportunities.
The Association pathway begins at the local association level, with associations running their own 3x3 events in a format that suits their community.
Top‑performing teams qualify to represent their club or association (in club colours) at Basketball Victoria’s 3XCup State Qualifiers in the July school holidays.
Teams that progress from the State Qualifiers advance to the Victoria 3XCup State Championships in the September school holidays, competing for the title of State Champions.
