Wheelchair Basketball Australia (WBA) is proud to announce that the WBA presented by BrightSky National Finals Series will be held in Victoria at the State Basketball Centre from August 21 – 23, 2026.
The three-day event will serve as the pinnacle of the 2026 season, bringing together the nation’s elite wheelchair basketball talent to compete for the national title. The selection of the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South, Australia’s premier basketball facility underscores the growth and professionalisation of the league under its “New Era” strategic relaunch.
John Palmer, Executive General Manager of Wheelchair Basketball Australia, said the event represents a significant milestone for the sport.
"Bringing the National Finals Series to the State Basketball Centre is a testament to the strength of wheelchair basketball in Australia. This venue is not only the heart of basketball in Victoria but also represents the gold standard for accessibility in the country, providing an inclusive environment that matches the elite calibre of our athletes. With the support of our partners in Victoria, we are delivering a world-class competition stage that reflects our commitment to excellence and the beginning of a new era for WBA."

The event is supported by the Victorian Government through the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR).
