Melbourne, Victoria - Basketball fans across Victoria are gearing up for the biggest couple of months on the calendar as many of Basketball Victoria’s (BV) leagues and competitions head into finals mode - with awards nights and Grand Final glory up for grabs across Big V, NBL1 South, VJBL, 3x3 and school programs.
Greg Jeffers, Basketball Victoria, General Manager Leagues and Competitions can’t wait for the next couple of months, “Our team have worked in recent years to have our leagues align, to allow participants, their families and the tens of thousands of basketball supporters the opportunity to enjoy every moment throughout the biggest time of the year! We've often experienced in the past, Grand Final clashes with an Awards Night of a different league, or school championships clashing with another league or event. The drive for our team has been to allow people to experience all the best moments that basketball has to offer across August and September. We know this is something our community has been wanting for a long time, and I'd like to thank our staff for achieving it. There is still more to be done, and we will work with associations to help achieve those outcomes. With big stadiums allowing for large crowds at junior and senior games alike and free live streaming of most events for those supporters who can't attend, Basketball Victoria is excited for the next couple of months!”
