athletes to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Ivor Burge State

Men’s and Women’s Teams.
The Ivor Burge Championships are the National Basketball Championships
for athletes with an Intellectual Disability (A participant’s eligibility is
based on an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 75 or below).
Athletes selected into the state team will compete for the Ivor Burge Cup
at the National Championship 28 January-1 February 2026.

The Ivor Burge program replicates the Under 20 program, whereby there
will be no separate Country or Metropolitan Teams. The Ivor Burge
Victoria Men’s and Women’s teams will comprise of the best players
across Victoria. All eligible athletes are invited to register their interest,
however only a limited number of places will be available and selected to
attend the try-outs.
- Women’s 1st Trial Date: 12th October 2025
- Men’s 1st Trial Date: 5th October 2025
Note: Selections will be made at the end of each session to attend
the following trial.
