The month of May turned courts pink across the state as Pink Round 2025 brought out the colour, the crowds and a massive community effort to raise awareness and funds in support of breast cancer research and support services.
This year’s round was one for the books, with a record number of clubs getting involved – thank you to everyone who participated, supported and donated!
What Went Down:
30 teams hit the court in pink, with 16 senior teams and 14 youth teams proudly rocking custom uniforms in support of the cause.
Wyndham Basketball took their efforts to the next level, raising an impressive $4,516 through a range of creative fundraising activities.
Broadmeadows Basketball added some flavour to the action, teaming up with Mad Mex for a fun on-court promotion: if the opposition missed two free throws in a row, the whole crowd scored 2-for-1 burritos! That’s what we call a tasty incentive.
Across the state, clubs showed their community spirit by running raffles, giveaways, and pink-themed initiatives to spread the message and get fans involved.
And a massive shoutout to Western Port Basketball, who led the charge with a jaw-dropping $10,365 raised – what an achievement!
This year’s Pink Round showed the power of basketball when it comes together for a cause. Whether you wore pink, donated, or cheered from the sidelines, thank you for making this year such a success.
