About Us
Basketball Victoria competes at the national level through the Victoria Marvels in the NWBL and the Victoria Wonders in the WNWBL, giving athletes a pathway to elite wheelchair basketball.
The Wonders head into their second season following a hugely successful 2025, which included a finals appearance and multiple league awards, including Coach of the Year. The Victoria Marvels will make their long-awaited debut in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter for Basketball Victoria.
Both teams compete in Wheelchair Basketball Australia’s National and Women’s National Leagues, which have grown increasingly competitive, with new and established teams battling for national honours.
About the League
Wheelchair Basketball Australia (WBA) operates Australia’s top domestic competitions: the National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) and the Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL).
These leagues provide a clear pathway to national selection, bridging the gap between grassroots basketball and international competition. They offer the highest level of domestic play for athletes aiming to become Rollers and Gliders.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship plays a key role in supporting the Victoria Marvels and Wonders, helping athletes compete at the highest level and grow the game in Victoria. If you’re interested in partnering with the teams, sponsoring a marquee player or contributing to their success, get in touch with us to discuss opportunities and how your support can make an impact.
