BENTLEIGH Secondary College’s two new indoor courts are now open.
Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos today visited Bentleigh Secondary College to officially open the new building, which includes a new basketball stadium to accommodate two competition-grade courts. This follows the opening of the new STEAM Centre last year.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
A total of 100 new schools will open by 2026 under the Labor Government’s school building boom, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having already appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020 and 14 schools that will open in 2021.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and a quality education.
“We’re ensuring local students have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and every child is given every chance to succeed,” Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos said. “These new courts means Bentleigh Secondary now has four courts on the school site, which will ensure that the strong partnership with McKinnon Basketball Association will continue into the future.”
