Athletic Development

Basketball Victoria has partnered with Core Advantage to help deliver strength and conditioning training and coaching to Victorian basketballers.

Since 1999 Durham McInnis has been helping basketballers improve performance and maximise their long-term athletic development. Durham is the strength and conditioning coach for Basketball Victoria and the Deakin Melbourne Boomers, and the team of coaches at Core Advantage train over 250 junior athletes from various sports and associations, working to individually improve their athleticism and durability on a case by case basis. The Core Advantage alumni list includes multiple Olympians, professionals and a host of collegiate athletes.

DSC04855The Core Advantage mission is to provide world-class athletic development training for all athletes from domestic to Olympic level, so they can perform at their best and fulfil their potential.

In addition to providing individualised small group training at their state-of-the-art centre in Oakleigh South, Core Advantage also runs on-court workshops and coach education services to clubs across greater Melbourne.
