ONE of the Mornington Peninsula’s longest running rivalries will mark its 12th year in 2020 as Western Port and Mornington battle it out for a great cause.
The Two Bays Cup will see Western Port Steelers take on Mornington Breakers, showcasing all 4 Big V teams. Games will be held for the first time at the newly rebuilt Somerville Recreation Centre.
First game will commence at 11.00am and continue running throughout the day. Youth league games will be followed by senior women’s and men’s games.
This year Western Port is hosting this event as a fundraiser with all proceeds from the day being donated to Victorian Bushfire Appeal and Wildlife Victoria.
This event will be both a basketball extravaganza and an opportunity for basketball fans on the Mornington Peninsula and beyond to contribute to the financial assistance for the organisations who are working so hard to help devastated communities and our precious wildlife. Entry on the day will be $2 per person.
We encourage everyone to dig deep and pay what they feel they can afford as the final donations to the above-mentioned organisations will be a testament to all basketball fans who support this event.
