Girls Got Game Round three-point tally

THE Melbourne Utd Victorian Basketball League (MUVJBL) is proud to announce a $4056 donation to Helping Hoops following our Girls Got Game Round.

Led by some incredible shooting on Friday night, the 2028 three-pointers hit across the league have helped us pass the $4000 mark and make a significant donation to a fantastic charity in Helping Hoops.

Helping Hoops was formed in 2009 with the idea of bringing basketball to kids who don’t enjoy the same opportunities afforded to most of us, and use the sport to instil strong values and achieve social outcomes.

With free, weekly sessions run weekly at a number of venues throughout Metropolitan Melbourne, Helping Hoops has enabled a wide array of players from migrant, disadvantaged and all-abilities backgrounds to participate and feel involved in our sport. Their efforts have significant societal benefits across the board and we’re thrilled to make this donation to this very deserving charity.
